2022 Fall and Early Winter Farmers Markets

Alpacatrax looks forward to seeing old friends and making new ones over the next few months and before the 2022 holiday season. We will be at markets in Dutchess, Ulster and throughout Westchester County during our three-month 2022 market season – most markets this year, we’ve been to before. Several markets which we’ve loved have sadly closed over the past few years and we continue to explore new markets in our four-five county New York area as scheduling and vendor space permits. If there is a market you’d like to see us visit – please let us know.

We’ll be exploring some venues in Southern Connecticut and New York where interests of landscape gardening enthusiasts meet natural fiber. There is a nice contingent of fiber enthusiasts who are gardeners for pollinators and use native plants in garden design which, as we know, supports important color variation for botanical dyeing.

For purchasing yarns, roving or finished product, if our markets this fall are not quite in your backyard, please make an appointment in Pound Ridge, Westchester County, or at our farm in Elizaville, Southern Columbia County. Our yarn selection this fall is fabulous and we have several new products crafted by local artisans for inspiration and gifts. Please remember that using local fiber in your fiber creations or purchasing that special fiber product made from locally raised, quality alpaca and sheep fleeces, supports family farming in the Hudson Valley, the protection of important agricultural lands, view sheds and natural resources as well as local artisans who work with local fleeces and crafted yarns.
